Organizing for Justice & Getting Results
With over a decade of experience as an organizer and nonprofit leader, I have met many Coloradans who are proud of the hard work they do every day. Whether it was the single moms working multiple jobs so their kids have a chance to succeed, the minimum wage workers still struggling after forty hours to put food on the table, or the neighbors supporting each other in times of need in true Colorado spirit -- I have been working tirelessly with our communities to ensure equal opportunities for everyone.
As your next State Senator, I understand how important it is that all our voices are heard, not just the wealthy and well-connected. You can count on me to be a champion for working families by standing up to corporate interests and prioritizing these issues:
1. Strengthening public education by alleviating the overwhelming pressure that testing places on our students and teachers and addressing the rising cost of higher education and the burden of student debt.
2. Tackling affordable housing by fighting to allow our neighbors to stay in their homes and thrive in their communities through lowering the rise in rent prices and increasing tenant rights.
3. Ensuring good jobs with living wages and flexible benefits so working families can make ends meet by passing paid family and medical leave for all employees and fighting for equal pay for women and people of color.
I hope I can count on your support in the June 28th Primary! If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to talk to you more about my campaign. Please give me a call at (720) 420-9705.
I look forward to representing Senate District 31 at the Colorado State Capitol!
